It is recommendable to climb a mountain to have a good physical and psychological condition, and also acclimation to prevent problems with altitude sickness, it is important the body's adaptation to the low oxygen, pressure and temperature, it is necessary to do trekking and sleep over 3.000 m to the body to adapt to adverse conditions before to start to climb the bigger mountains in Ecuador.

In Ecuador it is not recommended to go directly to the mountains like Cayambe, Antizana, Cotopaxi and Chimborazo, because, you cannot even sleep in shelters. It will be much better if you take an acclimatization program. The altitude diseases start with shortness of breath, headache, dizziness and vomiting, it is advisable to descend as quickly as possible to be losing altitude, and the bodies slowly return to normal.
